The CSA’s library holds approximately 3500 books and its main sections are Anthropology, Geography, Economics, Politics, International Cooperation, Development Studies, History, Religious Studies, Literature, Novels and Short Stories, Linguistics.
A large section is dedicated to magazines and reviews on Africa and African issues.
The library is a specialist centre for African studies and is available to both Italian and foreign citizens, especially students, scholars, teachers and researchers.
The library is undergoing a complete overhaul of its electronic catalogue and therefore its resources are only available to be consulted directly at the CSA.
Books can be loaned for the maximum period of a month: the borrower is required to submit a copy of their ID and their phone number.
