The conference “Violence against women as an epidemic, helping the victims, reclaiming their rights” will take place on Wednesday, November the 15th at 10 a.m., at the Sala Consigliare del Consiglio Regionale del Piemonte, 15 via Alfieri Torino. It will be the occasion to hear Dr. Denis Mukwege testimony, also known as “the man who fixes women”. He was awarded with the Sakharov Prize 2014 for founding Panzi Hospital in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and for his commitment in helping more than 40.000 women victims of sexual violence during the past 14 years.
The meeting will be introduced by the President of the Regional Council, Mauro LAUS, and by the President of CSA, Pietro MARCENARO. Conclusions will be taken by Federica TOURN. The closing ceremony will be held by Dr. Mukendi NGANDU, member of our Scientific Committee.
