Migration, reception, inclusion, co-development – Interviews to Cingoli, Sica, Beneduce

English

During the conference “Migration, reception, inclusion, co-development – The role of Med-African diasporas” we have asked some speakers to tell us briefly about their experience on some topics of the meeting. Participants have expressed their opinion of the inclusion policy diversification and of capacity building initiatives.

In the first interview, Janiki Cingoli, CIPMO, outlined the need to move beyond the first emergence measures on migrants’ inclusion. Marzia Sica, coordinator of Area Nuove Generazioni in Compagnia di San Paolo, highlights potentialities of cultural and economic local development tied to migrants’ high skills promotion. Roberto Beneduce, UNITO for refugees students, recalls how migrants’ needs are linked to prior vulnerabilities: a mere administrative support is not enough.
