LISA CANAL BRUNET

Lisa Canal Brunet (1998), is an International Sciences of development and cooperation student at the University of Turin. She has a long-standing experience in the world of volunteering. She is doing an internship at the Centre for African Studies of Turin (CSA) where she assists organization of the current event related to the project and she supports the staff and the Director of the Centre. She is engaged in topics such as international cooperation, solidarity, and development projects.

Director DR. MICHELE GUIDOLIN

Michele Guidolin, born in 1987 in Castelfranco Veneto (Treviso), graduated in "Law, Institutions and Policies of the European Union" at the University of Padua. He has been working for the Civil Society Organization "Incontro fra i popoli" for more than 9 years; since 2014 he has been General Director and head of the Projects section. He has been on about 15 humanitarian missions in Africa and eastern Europe. He currently fills the roles of municipal delegate for Social Policies, Education, Culture and Participation of the Municipality of Loria and President of the Council of the Union of Municipalities of the area called "Marca Occidentale" in Treviso province.

President DR.  LEOPOLDO REBELLATO

Leopoldo Rebellato, born in 1949, in Cittadella (Padua). He graduated in Biological Sciences, with a master's degree in Human Ecology. He lived six years in Congo DR and Cameroon. Together with his wife Maria and the volunteers of the association “Incontro fra i Popoli”, created around him in the nineties, he spreads in the society a mentality of active and participatory cosmopolitan citizenship. He wrote the books Seven young decades; Bisweka; The three dimensions of sexuality and Civil society and International Cooperation. He is columnist and editor of the quarterly journal of “Incontro fra i Popoli”.

DR. EMILIO CIARLO

Emilio Ciarlo is an international jurist with a focus on international relations. He has collaborated with the most important parliamentary groups of Italy's Lower House on the topics of international policy, security, and Europe. He has been a political councillor of the Vice Ministry of International Cooperation. He has then been appointed as head of international relations sector at Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). He takes part in international debate with articles on the topics of global development, Mediterranean, and Africa.

 

Incontro tra i Popoli NGO (Padua) is an international cooperation and solidarity association, established in 1990, which operates in international volunteering in various sectors, such as: Cooperation, Culture and Education, Cultural Exchanges, Distance Support.

For years they have been involved in various countries, with different projects, for example: "Community resilience in the far north of Cameroon", created with the co-financing of AICS.

With the participation of Dr. Leopoldo Rebellato, President of IfP, who tells the birth of the association and its history and Dr. Michele Guidolin, General Director of the association, who talks about the Incontro tra i Popoli project, with a special focus on the photographic exhibition that the CSA offers because it is linked to his project.

Italiano
