TERESA QUARTERO (CSA)
Teresa Quartero got a bachelor’s degree in Cross-Cultural Communication at the University of Turin and she is pursuing a MSc in Human Rights and Multi-level Governance at the University of Padua. Over the past years, she worked with both governmental and non-governmental organisations involved in sustainable development and in human rights (with a special focus on migratory issues). Currently, she works as a researcher trainee for the CSA on the current project. She is mainly interested in human rights and sustainable development, gender and migration issues with a focus on the current and future challenges that new technologies (ICTs and AI) pose.

LEONARDO BERTERO (CSA)
Leonardo Bertero has a MA in History and Politics from the University of Dundee and he is currently pursuing a MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Crisis at the London School of Economics. In the past years, Bertero analysed the effects of developmental/aid projects in various parts of Africa. Currently, he works as an external collaborator and researcher for the CSA and he is the co-organizer of the current project. He focuses on conflict resolutions, gender issues and how development actions can tackle inequalities in low income countries. Teresa and Leonardo co-authored the paper “Women's Voices in Water Governance and Management: The Lake Chad Case” forthcoming in an IHE Delft Institute for Water Education’s book. Together with Chiara Danese, they also published “Luci e ombre dell’Eu trust fund for Africa” (in English: Lights and Shadows of the EUTF). IDOS: Dossier Statistico Immigrazione (2020) 85-87.

DR. AMEL HAMZA
Amel Hamza is the Division Manager of Gender and Women Empowerment Division and Gender Specialist at African Development Bank. She has over 30 years’ experience in promoting gender mainstreaming in agriculture and rural development, water supply and sanitation, education, health and energy. Dr. Hamza is also responsible for addressing gender issues in policy dialogue strengthening institutional mechanisms for gender responsiveness.
