PRESIDENT ROMANO PRODI

Romano Prodi is an Italian politician, professor, scholar, and executive for various public societies. He graduated in Law at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and then proceeded in his studies at London School of Economics. He worked for many years as a professor in various universities, both in Italy and abroad. As a politician, he covered the role of Ministry of Industry (1978), and he was Italy’s Prime Minister twice (1996-1998 and 2006-2008). From 1999 to 2004 he was President of European Commission. In 2008 he founded the Fondazione per la Collaborazione tra i Popoli. He is currently Chairman of Advisory Board of UniCredit bank and columnist on the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero.

H.E.  MARIAM ALI MOUSSA

H.E. Mariam Ali Moussa serves as the Ambassador for Chad to Italy (located in Berlin, Germany) since 2019. She studied Business Administration. She has worked in the Ministry of Finance and for the President of Chad. She speaks French, English and Arabic.

AMB. GIUSEPPE MISTRETTA

Giuseppe Mistretta is a diplomat and writer. He graduated in Political Science at University of Rome in 1982. He begun diplomatic career in 1984. In 2008 he has been appointed to the role of Ambassador in Luanda, Angola. In 2017 he has been appointed to the role of Central Director for sub-Saharan Countries, where he covers the functions of General Director from 2019. He wrote about Africa in various forms, such as essays, novels, and guides. He collaborated with Italian newspapers (Repubblica, Corriere della Sera) and with Capital radio station.

DR. FRANCESCA DI MAURO

Francesca Di Mauro, master at College of Europe and PhD in Economics at Université Libre de Bruxelles, currently Head of Unit Central Africa at DG International Cooperation and Development of European Commission, where she has a 19-years’ experience in the External Action domain, designing and managing programmes for macro-economic support, public financial management reforms, governance and accountability.

AMB. RENZO MARIO ROSSO

Born in Asti, Rosso graduated in Political Science at University of Turin. In 1978 he started the diplomatic career. His first experience abroad was in Bogotà (1980), where he was appointed as Responsible for commercial relations. From 1994 he was appointed to Moscow embassy, where he became Plenipotentiary in 2002 with the responsibility of bilateral political relations. At the G8 in 2009, he oversaw the topics of food security, education and accountability. He has been Ambassador in Ethiopia. He is currently President of Centro piemontese di Studi Africani (CSA).
